Senator Diket Plang, representing Plateau Central Senatorial District, has reaffirmed his support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Senator Plang made his position known on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, when he hosted members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Plateau State Council, at his residence along Atiku Street, Rayfield, Jos, where he engaged with the journalists on issues concerning the state and the country.
Speaking during the engagement, the Senator said the achievements recorded by the Tinubu and Mutfwang administrations were significant enough to warrant their continued support. He expressed confidence in their leadership and called on the people of Plateau State to give them another opportunity to consolidate on the progress already made.
Senator Plang also used the occasion to appreciate his constituents for their continued prayers, support and confidence in his representation at the National Assembly. He acknowledged the important role played by the media in informing and connecting leaders with the people, while expressing his readiness to sustain constructive engagement with journalists and other stakeholders.
He further stressed the need for unity and collective support for leaders working towards the development and progress of Plateau State and Nigeria.
