The Knights of St. Mulumba, Jos Metropolitan Council, on Wednesday paid a congratulatory visit to the Director-General of the Mutfwang/Piyo Campaign Council 2027, Sir Joseph Ari, KSM, at his residence in Jos.
The delegation, led by the Worthy Metropolitan Grand Knight, Sir Matthew Yokpe, KSM, comprised members of the Metropolitan Council, members of the Order, and the Ladies of St. Mulumba.
Sir Yokpe said the Order came to congratulate their brother on his appointment as Director-General of the Campaign Council, describing the appointment as a victory for them.
He recalled that the Order witnessed history when the appointment was announced during their visit to Governor Caleb Mutfwang.
According to him, Sir Joseph Ari is an achiever, a bridge-builder, and a unifier who has continued to serve as a mentor to other members of the Order and provide guidance whenever necessary.
Sir Yokpe said their visit was a pledge of loyalty to the task ahead, assuring that Catholics would give maximum support to their own.
He noted that members of the Order are also leaders within their various communities and would mobilise support for the success of the campaign.
He encouraged the DG to put God and humanity first in all he does, and to ignore unfounded claims and remain focused on his duties.
Responding, Sir Joseph Ari thanked the Order for the visit, describing them as his support base that has shown him nothing but solidarity.
He commended the Metropolitan Grand Knight for his efforts in leading the Metropolitan Council.
Sir Ari said his appointment was the first step by the Governor towards listening to Catholics and getting them involved in governance, adding that it was important for Catholics to mobilise support to ensure they have a seat at the table of governance.
He said the inclusion of Catholics had just begun and that better days lie ahead.
