The Plateau Youths Advocacy Vanguard has received a strong show of support from Elder Yary Kumchi following a courtesy visit by the team ahead of its forthcoming programme, “Assessing Youth Appointees in Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s Administration: HOW FAR, SO FAR? – Celebrating Performance.”
During the visit, the team shared the vision and objectives of the programme with Elder Yary Kumchi, highlighting its focus on assessing the performance, contributions, impact and experiences of young people serving in the present administration.
The initiative is designed to provide a constructive platform for recognising the achievements of young appointees, highlighting their contributions to governance, and encouraging greater accountability and effective youth participation in public service.
In a significant show of confidence in the initiative, Elder Yary Kumchi officially endorsed the programme, lending his voice and support to the idea of creating a platform where the performance of young people in government can be openly discussed, appreciated and constructively assessed.
His endorsement further reinforces the importance of encouraging young people in leadership while also holding them to the standards of performance, responsibility and service to the people.
The “HOW FAR, SO FAR?” programme is therefore more than a celebration. It is an opportunity to ask important questions, acknowledge progress, identify areas for improvement and inspire a new culture of purposeful youth leadership in Plateau State.
