The Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), Jos and District Society has continued to distinguish itself through excellence, teamwork and active participation in professional activities, recording remarkable achievements at the Annual Tax Conference 2026, held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja.

The Jos and District Society emerged strongly among participating districts, winning several competitions and receiving recognition for its outstanding performance throughout the conference.

One of the highlights was its first-place finish in the sporting activities, particularly the March Pass, where the team demonstrated impressive coordination, discipline and unity. The Society also secured second position in the Tug of War competition, further reflecting the strong team spirit among its members.

Beyond the sporting activities, the Jos and District Society also made a strong impression during the Hospitality Night Presentation, securing second position in Category A – the Largest Contingent Group. The achievement was a reflection of the Society’s impressive turnout, togetherness and commitment to representing Jos and Plateau State with pride.

The Society also received an award from the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) in recognition of its performance and contribution at the conference.

These latest achievements add to what has been a remarkable period for the CITN Jos and District Society. In December 2025, the Society was honoured in Lagos as the Outstanding District of the Year 2025, an award that recognised its exceptional performance and contributions to the Institute.

For the members of the Jos and District Society, these recognitions are more than just awards. They represent the result of collective effort, dedication, friendship and a shared commitment to excellence.

The achievements also underscore the growing reputation of the Jos and District Society within CITN and demonstrate what can be accomplished when professionals come together with a common purpose.

With these milestones, the CITN Jos and District Society has once again shown that excellence is not only about professional knowledge but also about teamwork, participation, discipline and the ability to represent one’s district with pride.

The Society’s recent accomplishments will undoubtedly serve as encouragement to its members as they continue to contribute to the growth and development of taxation and the accounting profession in Nigeria.
