The Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) Jos and District Society celebrated its 10th anniversary and inaugurated its 6th Chairman on August 29, 2025. The event was chaired by Mrs. Naanret Manset, CNA, Accountant General of Plateau State, who was represented by Dr. Ezekiel Daschen.
In his remarks, Dr. Daschen apologized for Mrs. Manset’s inability to attend in person. He emphasized that taxation is not just about revenue collection, but also about fairness, accountability, and nation-building. He congratulated the newly inaugurated EXCO and commended their dedication to the profession.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of an award to Mrs. Naanret Manset by the Institute, in recognition of her outstanding dedication and support to the CITN Jos and District Society. The award was received on her behalf by Dr. Daschen.
The ceremony was a testament to the strong partnership between the CITN Jos and District Society and the Plateau State Government, and marked a significant milestone in the Institute’s history.
