HON. I.D LALU FELICITATES WITH MUSLIM UMMAH ON THE SOLEMN CELEBRATION OF RAMADAN; PAYS FITTING TRIBUTE TO THEIR STEADFAST LOVE TO THE FAITH.

HON. ISHAYA DAVID LALU, the Member representing the peace loving, hospitable and industrious people of Mangu/Bokkos constituency at the GREEN Chamber of the national assembly, conveys on behalf of himself, family and friends, his Honourable Colleagues, league of associates, core-admirers and the entire HOPE IN GOD MANAGEMENT COUNCIL, his felicitations of the highest esteem and the assurances of his kindest regards to the Muslim Ummah across the country, in Plateau State and in particular his Moslem brothers and sisters from Mangu and Bokkos, the Federal Constituency of his representation.

Lalu inclines that EIDEL-FITR is the three-day festival in celebration of completion of the fasting month of Ramadan by Muslims around the world. He says passionately, that it falls on the first date of the 10th SHAWWAL of the Islamic Calendar, and that people celebrate Eid by ending their Roza, thanking Allah for offering them good health and unwavering resilience during Ramadan, wearing new clothes, preparing grand feasts, meeting their loved ones, doing charity and lots more of goodwill and kind gestures.

Lalu defines the celebration as the ample period of soul-searching, self examination, sober reflection, spiritual cleansing and faith renewal for rededication of service to Allah. He admonishes further, that it is a period of stocktaking in matters of divinity wherein Muslims pursue their salvation with fear and trembling. He employs them to see the season as the ample time to illustrate steadfast love across interfaith to create religious harmony among worshippers irrespective of lineage, tribes, religion, cultural orientation and backgrounds.

In furtherance thereof, and in his spirit-lifting words, wishes that the sacrifices that are being offered at Allah’s altar in celebration of this year’s EID-EL FITR will be acceptable unto to Him, and may it be the reason for the forgiveness of human imperfection represented in misgivings and misdeeds. May He in His kind nature and in the bounties of His unfailing grace and mercies forgive and arrest human conscience for peace against wars and remours of wars and heal the world.

Lalu conclusively wishes the Muslim Ummah a God-driven special Ramadan event as the mark and celebrate this great day of consequential magnitude and of generational significance, and prays God to graciously overlook human excesses and grant us more fruitful interfaith cooperation for better understanding of our oneness in the faith
