The Mwaghavul Youth Movement (MYM) successfully conducted its 2024/2025 convention election yesterday, with the Electoral Committee (ELCOM) ensuring a free and fair process.
According to ELCOM Chairman, Evang. Yakubu David, the election was conducted in two phases, with voting taking place in districts and online for diaspora members. The process was observed by critical stakeholders, including Sir. Joseph Gwankat, President of the Mwaghavul Development Association, Nurse Grace Gora, President of the Mwaghavul Women Wing and Representatives of local government Council, and Plateau youth Council.
Yesterdays election demonstrated the movement’s commitment to democratic principles and transparency. The newly elected leaders are expected to play a crucial role in shaping the movement’s future.
The successful conduct of the election has been hailed as a significant milestone for MYM, and the movement’s dedication to inclusivity and accountability has been reaffirmed.
