The Bwalbwang Old Students Association Gindiri (BOSAG) took a significant step towards promoting a healthier and safer environment for students by inaugurating the Patron and Executive Committee (EXCO) of its “Drug Free Club” today.
The inauguration ceremony, held at the school premises, was facilitated by DCN Grace Goyol, a staff member of the Drugs Law Enforcement Agency.
In his remarks, BOSAG President Mr. David Milaham explained that his profession and desire for a drug-free society inspired the creation of the club.
DCN Goyol, the guest of honor, charged the newly inaugurated EXCO to demonstrate maturity in their actions and decisions. She emphasized the dangers of drug abuse, urging students to stay away from substances that can cause colossal damage to their lives.
Mrs. Dachal Butmak Ayuba, the school’s principal, expressed gratitude to the facilitator and BOSAG’s national EXCO for their support.
Other notable guests in attendance included Comr. Garba Audu (Wakilin Wadaki), PTA Chairman; Mr. Suleiman M. Dastu; Mr. Yakubu Usman; Mr. Gambo Hamidu Yola; representatives from BOSAG Set 2021, and many others.
This initiative aligns with efforts to combat substance abuse among youth and promote a culture of wellness in educational institutions.
