Hon. Emmanuel Molpun, Chairman of Mangu Local Government Area, joined top military personnel, government representatives, and community leaders at a stakeholders’ engagement meeting held at the 3 Division Auditorium in Rukuba Barracks, Bassa, Plateau State. The gathering aimed to tackle the State’s pressing security challenges.
The meeting drew notable attendees, including the Minister of Defense, Alh. Mohammed Badaru Abubakar; General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 3 Division, Major General A.E. Abubakar; a representative of the Plateau State Governor; and leaders from the Plateau State Peace Building Agency. Religious leaders, youths, and chairmen from attack-affected areas also participated.
Hon. Molpun emphasized tolerance as the cornerstone of peace, urging stakeholders to unite towards restoring harmony in the state. The meeting provided a platform for open dialogue, fostering collaboration and understanding among attendees.
As the gathering concluded, stakeholders renewed their commitment to collectively work towards achieving peace and security in Plateau State. This high-level engagement marks a significant step towards addressing the long-standing security issues plaguing the state.
