The event’s chief host, Hon. Bomkam Ali Wuyep, was represented by Barr. Samson Karami, the Director of Partnership and Linkages at PLASMIDA. In his welcoming remarks, Barr. Karami expressed gratitude to all attendees and acknowledged the support of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang. Guest speakers Bok Yeipyeng, the team lead of Flourish Hydro Lab Ltd, and Onah Osita, the Managing Director of Metale Integrated Technology, emphasized the importance of hydroponics. Yeipyeng discussed key aspects of the training, such as using water or substrates like rice husks and coco peat for cultivation. She encouraged participants to start with home gardening to gain practical experience before moving on to greenhouse farming.

Mr. Olu Awolowo, the state chairman of NASME, urged participants to seize this opportunity to enhance their farming practices.

The training aimed to equip participants with practical knowledge of hydroponics, promoting sustainable agricultural practices in Plateau State.
