On April 24, 2024, Rukuba Barracks hosted a significant gathering of community stakeholders, organized by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 3 Division of the Army. The objective was clear: to facilitate dialogue and address pressing issues affecting Mangu and Bokkos local governments.
Among the distinguished attendees was Hon. Markus Artu, the management committee chairman of Mangu LGA. Taking the podium, the honorable chairman passionately advocated for the interests of Plateau State. He emphasized the importance of protecting Plateau, asserting that it belongs to its people. Additionally, he cautioned against internal threats and urged citizens to exercise caution when interacting with strangers. His message resonated as a call for transparency and honest dialogue in such crucial gatherings.
Thanks to Artu’s impactful intervention, the meeting transformed into a platform where open dialogue was not only encouraged but expected. This highlighted the significance of genuine engagement and active participation in addressing community concerns. As the meeting concluded, there was a palpable commitment from both military and civilian stakeholders to continue this dialogue and collaborate effectively to tackle the challenges ahead.
