The Renewed Hope Advocates has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Plateau State Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang for a second term ahead of the 2027 general elections, pledging both political and financial support. The endorsement came during the inauguration of the group’s National Executive Council in Jos, an event that drew party loyalists, stakeholders, and delegates from across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.
At the centre of the gathering was the National Coordinator, Barr. Mrs. Beatrice C.J. Dakas, whose remarks set the tone for the day. Speaking with conviction, Dakas described the inauguration as more than a formal ceremony, it was, in her words, “a reflection of shared belief and collective hope” in the leadership of both men.
She said the decision to back President Tinubu and Governor Mutfwang was unanimous, rooted in what she characterized as visible efforts to address longstanding challenges and improve governance outcomes. Beatrice pointed particularly to Governor Mutfwang’s leadership in Plateau State, describing it as purposeful and people-focused. According to her, the administration’s development strides have resonated with citizens and inspired confidence among supporters.
In a notable show of commitment, the group announced a donation of ₦50 million to support Governor Mutfwang’s nomination and expression of interest forms for the 2027 election. Beyond endorsements, Beatrice emphasized the group’s grassroots strategy, noting that members across the country would intensify mobilization efforts in both rural communities and urban centres. She framed this as a continuation of their broader mission to connect policy achievements with everyday realities.
On the national stage, she acknowledged the economic difficulties facing Nigerians but maintained that President Tinubu’s reforms require time and public support to yield sustainable results. She appealed to citizens to remain patient and engaged, expressing confidence in the administration’s long-term direction.
Other speakers echoed similar sentiments. Legal practitioner Barr. Gyang Zi (SAN) described the endorsements as a demonstration of appreciation, urging continued public backing for both leaders. Representing the Governor, Deputy Governor Ngo Josephine Piyo conveyed appreciation for the show of support, describing it as a sign of trust and shared commitment to governance and development.
The event also included humanitarian outreach, with donations made to persons living with disabilities and other vulnerable groups, an aspect organizers said reflects the group’s broader social responsibility.
For many attendees, the gathering was not just political, it carried a tone of community, loyalty, and cautious optimism about the future.
