The Mwaghavul Nation gathered on Saturday, 7th March 2026, for its annual Solemn Assembly, an important spiritual event tagged “Puus Dang Naan 2026.” The gathering brought together political leaders, traditional authorities, clergy, and members of the Mwaghavul community in a moment of reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to God.
The event was graced by several distinguished personalities, including the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang. Also present was the Mishkaham Mwaghavul, His Royal Highness Da. John Putmang Hirse, alongside the member representing Mangu/Bokkos Federal Constituency, Hon. Ishaya David Lalu. The Executive Chairman of Mangu Local Government Area, Hon. Emmanuel Bala Mwolpun, was also in attendance. Spiritual leadership at the event was provided by Rev. Istifanus Ishaya, Chairman of the Mwaghavul Solemn Assembly, together with other respected spiritual leaders and critical stakeholders within and beyond the Mwaghavul community.
The theme for this year’s gathering, “Revival and Spiritual Awakening in the Mwaghavul Nation,” set the tone for prayers, exhortations, and moments of deep reflection throughout the assembly. Speakers emphasized the need for renewed faith, unity, and moral transformation as foundations for the progress and peace of the Mwaghavul people.
Participants used the occasion to collectively appreciate God Almighty for His faithfulness and protection over the Mwaghavul Nation. The assembly also served as a platform for spiritual rededication, with leaders encouraging the community to remain steadfast in prayer and to uphold values that strengthen peace, development, and unity.
As the event concluded, attendees expressed hope that the spirit of revival and awakening highlighted during the gathering would continue to inspire positive change across the Mwaghavul Nation and beyond.
