The Plateau State One Stop Investment Centre (PS-OSIC) successfully convened the Inaugural Workshop on the Development of an Investment Policy and New Investment Incentives on Thursday, 16th October 2025, at Novel Suites, Rayfield, Jos, with the support of the Sustainable Economic Development Cluster (SEDEC) and German Cooperation – GIZ (SEDEC).
The workshop provided a structured platform for public and private sector stakeholders to engage on strengthening Plateau State’s investment framework. Key outcomes included:
- Alignment on the need for a coherent, investor-friendly investment policy for Plateau State.
- Identification of priority policy areas and incentive instruments to enhance the State’s competitiveness and attractiveness to investors.
- Stakeholder inputs to inform the design of transparent, sustainable, and performance-based investment incentives.
- Constitution of a Technical Working Group (TWG) to drive the policy and incentive framework development over a period of three months.
- Agreement on next steps for technical review, stakeholder consultations, and finalisation of the investment policy and incentives framework.
The outcomes of the workshop, including the establishment of the TWG, will guide the ongoing development of Plateau State’s investment policy and incentive reforms, aimed at improving the overall investment climate and supporting sustainable economic growth.
