The Plateau State One Stop Investment Centre (PS-OSIC), in collaboration with the Plateau State Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Mineral Development, supported by GIZ/SEDAC, successfully convened the One-Day Stakeholders’ Dialogue on Promoting the Green Economy of Plateau State on Thursday, 17th April 2025, at the Banquet Hall, New Government House, Little Rayfield, Jos.
Key outcomes from the dialogue included:
• Identification of priority initiatives in sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, eco-tourism, waste management/circular economy, green finance, and green skills development.
• Actionable recommendations for government, private sector, and development partners to accelerate green economic growth in Plateau State.
• Strengthened collaboration and coordination among stakeholders to implement green economy projects and policies effectively.
• Commitment to follow-up mechanisms, including working groups and monitoring frameworks, to ensure practical implementation of dialogue resolutions.
The dialogue provided a strategic platform for aligning stakeholders and advancing initiatives to position Plateau State as a model for a sustainable, inclusive, and resilient green economy.
