MADE IN JOS Plateau Carnival 2025 Closes in Grand Style

The maiden edition of the MADE IN JOS Plateau Carnival 2025 came to a colorful close on December 6, 2025, after five vibrant days of exhibitions, entertainment, and cultural display at the Solomon Lar Amusement Park in Jos. The event, which kicked off on December 2, brought together entrepreneurs, innovators, and residents from across Plateau State to celebrate locally made products and promote homegrown businesses.

Throughout the carnival, exhibitors showcased a wide range of goods from crafts and fashion to foods and household items while enthusiastic visitors trooped in daily to patronize and support the entrepreneurs.

A highlight of the closing ceremony was the expression of appreciation from the Director-General of PLASMIDA, Hon. Bomkam Ali Wuyep, who was represented by the Director of Administration and Finance, Mr. Jackse Le’an. In his remarks, he commended the exhibitors, guests, and partners for making the first edition of the carnival a success.

The ceremony also featured the presentation of awards to individuals and organizations that supported the planning and execution of the MSMEs exhibition. Honorees included:

The Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, represented by Chief Protocol Mr. Donald Cyril

Nkechi Blessing, representing FCMB

The Rector of Plateau State Polytechnic

Kefas Ropshik (Kefiano), who also received special recognition and many others.

The event drew to a close with heartfelt remarks from the Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Mr. Le’an Jackse, who thanked attendees for their commitment from the first to the final day of the carnival. He wished everyone a safe journey back home and assured the public that the MADE IN JOS carnival would return as an annual exhibition aimed at continually promoting Plateau’s entrepreneurial spirit.

The successful debut of the carnival has set a promising tone for future editions, leaving participants optimistic about the growing support for local businesses and the cultural vibrancy of Plateau State.
