DG PLASMIDA Hosts Winners of the PLASMIDA and Black Nest Africa Pitch Competition and the Plateau Job Fair Newly Employed beneficiaries

December 1, 2025, Jos, Plateau State.

The Director General of the Plateau State Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (PLASMIDA), Hon. Bomkam Ali Wuyep, today hosted the first, second, and third-place winners of the Black Nest Africa Competition, as well as beneficiaries who recently gained employment through the agency’s Plateau Job Center platform.

In his remarks, the DG warmly welcomed the group to PLASMIDA and assured them of a conducive and supportive environment as they continue their entrepreneurial and career journeys. He expressed profound appreciation to His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, Executive Governor of Plateau State, for providing platforms through which young entrepreneurs and job seekers can thrive.

Hon. Wuyep congratulated the Black Nest Africa winners, highlighting their exceptional performance:

1st Position: Awin Daniel (The GEN Artist) – ₦500,000

2nd Position: Gloria Kaneng Dareng – ₦300,000

3rd Position: Samina Azi – ₦200,000

He commended their hard work and creativity, noting that their success reflects the growing entrepreneurial spirit within Plateau State.

Speaking on the recent job placements, the DG revealed that about 120 applicants competed for various openings, with only a select number making it through. He encouraged the new employees to be exemplary ambassadors of the Plateau Job Center.

Hon. Wuyep also announced that PLASMIDA will provide free exhibition space for the winners and beneficiaries at the upcoming Made in Jos Carnival, giving them an opportunity to showcase their products and services to a wider audience.

The event concluded with positive testimonials from attendees, including Otini Joshua Daze, David Nanpet Dala, among others, who commended PLASMIDA’s continued commitment to empowering youths and entrepreneurs across the state.
