As part of activities leading up to the much-anticipated “Made in Plateau Business 2025 Carnival”, stakeholders from the Plateau MSME Ecosystem, the inspire create start scale(ICSS), and the Business Development Services (BDS) network on Monday embarked on a major awareness walk across key commercial hubs within Jos North Local Government Area.
The walk, which held on 24th November 2025, was designed to create public awareness and mobilize community participation ahead of the carnival scheduled for 2nd–6th December 2025 at the Solomon Lar Amusement Park.
Committees and stakeholders began the procession at Old Airport Junction, moving through major economic corridors including British-American Junction, Terminus Market, Delimi Market, Bukuru Park Market, New Market, Katako Market, Farin Gada, Gada Biyu, Satellite Market, and finally Folo Roundabout.
Throughout the walk, stakeholders engaged traders, commuters, and community members, distributing information and encouraging widespread involvement in the upcoming event.
Speaking during the exercise, Mr. Jackse Le’an Mangtat, Chairman of the Plateau State MSME Ecosystem Technical Working Group, emphasized the significance of the activity in boosting visibility and ensuring the success of the carnival. According to him:
“This walk is very key and strategic for the success of the upcoming Made in Plateau Business Carnival slated for 2nd to 6th December, 2025 at the Solomon Lar Amusement Park. The idea is to create awareness and let everyone know what is about to happen in Plateau State. There is high expectation from government MDAs, GIZ ICSS partner institutions and organisations about this carnival.”
Mr. Mangtat noted that the carnival aims to strengthen the Plateau MSME ecosystem, deepen collaboration among economic actors, and promote eco-smart entrepreneurship, consistent with this year’s theme:
“Strengthening the Plateau MSMEs Ecosystem through Synergies and Eco-Smart Entrepreneurship.”
The awareness walk marks the beginning of a series of activities designed to energize the business community and rally support from government, development partners, and the private sector. Expectations are high that the 2025 edition of the Made in Plateau Business Carnival will provide a robust platform for local entrepreneurs to showcase their products, foster partnerships, and highlight the state’s economic potential.
