On Friday, September 26, 2025, Makplang Precious Mbat Outreach marked a special milestone – the birthday of its convener, Precious Mbat – with a meaningful initiative to promote menstrual health among female students in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The team visited two schools in Panyam district, Divine Faith Academy and Government Secondary School, all in Panyam of Mangu LGA, where they distributed 700 sanitary pads to female students and sensitized them to menstrual health. This thoughtful gesture demonstrated Precious Mbat’s love for the girl child and her commitment to promoting menstrual hygiene.
The donation is a significant step towards providing girls with a hygienic way to manage menstruation, improving their overall health and confidence. By reducing period poverty and absenteeism, it allows girls to stay in school, contributing to better future prospects and public health.
In addition to the pad distribution, Precious Mbat also paid the school fees of four orphans, further demonstrating her compassion and dedication to supporting the needs of rural students.
