In a show of solidarity and compassion, Hon. Mathew Kwarpo, Member representing Mangu South Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly, visited the victims of the recent terror attacks in Chakfem Chiefdom on Tuesday, August 20th, 2025.

During his visit, Hon. Kwarpo donated 20 bags of corn, ₦1 million for fuel and foodstuffs, and recruited two medical personnel to assist the overstretched clinic. He also provided additional support for repair works at the facility and personally visited those receiving treatment to offer words of encouragement.

This humanitarian gesture comes on the heels of Hon. Kwarpo’s Motion of Urgent Public Importance on the floor of the House, which prompted a swift response from the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA). The agency delivered relief materials, including mattresses, food items, and essential needs, to the affected communities.

Hon. Kwarpo expressed his profound appreciation to Governor Caleb Mutfwang for his immediate intervention, which has helped cushion the effects of the attacks on the people. He also commended the synergy of government institutions in responding to the crisis.

The visit was attended by Hon. Mwolpun’s Chief of Staff, supervisory councillors, and community leaders, who warmly received Hon. Kwarpo and applauded his commitment to the welfare and security of his constituents.

Hon. Kwarpo reiterated his resolve to continue standing with the people of Mangu South Constituency, particularly Chakfem Chiefdom, until peace and normalcy are fully restored.
