Jasper Fiton Kicks Off 3rd Peace and Unity Football Competition, Donates over 5,000 Exercise Books to Primary School Pupils

Today, August 3, 2025, was a day of excitement and generosity in Bokkos, as Mr. Joseph Mafulul, popularly known as Jasper Fiton, officially kicked off his 3rd Peace and Unity Football Competition at the Bokkos mini stadium.

But that wasn’t all, Jasper also seized the opportunity to give back to his community, donating over 5,000 exercise books to primary school pupils. This kind gesture was met with gratitude and applause from the attendees.

Jasper’s motivation for giving back was clear: “I want to give back to the community that made me,” he said. “This is my way of showing appreciation”.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Mr. Abayomi Michael from Lagos, Mr. Jonathan Regeh, Education Secretary, and Hon. Macham Stephen, Leader of Bokkos Local Government Council and many others.

Mr. Jonathan Regeh praised Jasper as a “biggest philanthropist” during the donation ceremony. Hon. Macham Stephen commended Jasper for his thoughtfulness in providing exercise books for young people.

Mr. Abayomi Michael from Lagos described Jasper as a “great man” who has always put the needs of others before his own. The beneficiaries of the exercise books, including Daniel Augustine and Godsave Maryom Jonah from God Generation Academy, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Jasper.

The football competition kicked off with a match between Mazat Football Club and Tenti Football Club.
