The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General E.A Abubakar, recently convened a stakeholders’ peace and security meeting at Rukuba Barracks in Jos, Plateau State. The event brought together key stakeholders, including the representative of Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, Representative of Plateau State Peace Building Agency, Local Government Area (LGA) chairmen, and other notable personalities.
In his remarks, Major General Abubakar welcomed the guests and reiterated his commitment to ensuring peace and security in Plateau State. He warned criminals to desist from incessant attacks, emphasizing that the Nigerian Army will not tolerate any form of criminality. The GOC also announced the approval of additional troops to Plateau State by the new Chief of Army Staff, a move aimed at bolstering security in the state.
The meeting featured keynote speeches from notable experts, including Mr. Joseph Lengmang, the former Director General of Plateau State Peace Building Agency. Lengmang shared insightful perspectives on addressing the security challenges facing Plateau State.
