In a significant move towards consolidating the state’s development gains, Plateau State Governor, His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, presented the 2025 budget, totaling N471,134,093,541.00, to the Plateau State House of Assembly.
Tagged “Consolidation and Sustainability,” the budget prioritizes three key pillars: Peace and Security, Agriculture, and Infrastructure. These pillars are designed to address the states pressing challenges and propel Plateau State towards sustainable growth and development.
During the budget presentation, Governor Mutfwang emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring peace and security across the state. He noted that the administration has made significant strides in promoting peace and stability, and the 2025 budget will further consolidate these gains.
The Governor also highlighted the importance of agriculture in the states economy. He stated that the budget includes provisions for agricultural development programs, aimed at boosting food production, improving farmers’ livelihoods, and enhancing the state’s food security.
In addition, Governor Mutfwang emphasized the need for infrastructure development, citing the budgets allocations for critical projects such as road construction, water supply, and healthcare facilities.
The Governor commended the Honourable Speaker, Rt. Hon. Gabriel Dewan, and members of the Plateau State House of Assembly for their cooperation and support in the budget preparation process.
