Hon. Mathew Kwarpo’s Extra-Moral Class Initiative: A Boost to Education in Mangu South

Hon. Mathew S. Kwarpo, member representing Mangu South at the State House of Assembly, marked a significant milestone on September 4th, 2024, as he attended the official conclusion of an extra-moral class at LEA Jwakkas, which he had organized. The event was a testament to his commitment to education and community development.

The coordinator of the summer class, Mr. Caleb Lekkwar, expressed heartfelt appreciation to Hon. Kwarpo for providing the necessary resources and creating a conducive environment for the students. Similarly, Da. Mathew Yarima, the Mai-Angwa of Jwakkas, representing the traditional council, and Mrs. Hellen Best, the head teacher, commended the honorable member’s efforts in promoting education in the constituency.

In his remarks, Hon. Kwarpo reflected on his journey since inauguration, highlighting the various projects he had commissioned to benefit his constituency. He expressed gratitude to God Almighty for the opportunity to serve and congratulated the students who had participated in the extra-moral classes. The honorable member also announced several empowerment initiatives, including the payment of school fees for 18 students, distribution of grains and fertilizers to 100 constituents, and grants to support his constituents.

Furthermore, Hon. Kwarpo highlighted his legislative efforts, sponsoring bills focused on promoting sporting activities and combating illicit drugs. He acknowledged the support of His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, and Rt. Hon. Gabriel Dewan, the Speaker of the 10th Assembly, in his endeavors.

This event showcased Hon. Mathew Kwarpo’s dedication to empowering his constituents and promoting education, a testament to his leadership and commitment to the well-being of Mangu South Constituency.
