NG-CARES Inspection Day 3: Progress in Southern Zone and Kanke LGA.

Day 3 of the NG-CARES inspection tour was marked by significant progress assessments in the Southern zone and Kanke Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau Central. The inspection, led by Dr. Haggai Gutap, began in Kalong Gindin-Mangro under Shendam Local Government, where a 3.5 km road construction project was reviewed. The district head, HRH Lonshal Sallah, warmly welcomed the NG-CARES team and expressed his gratitude to Governor Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang for the developmental efforts in their community.

The next stop was Mikang Local Government Council, where the team met with the TIC chairman, Hon. Daniel G. Kungmi, in his office. Hon. Kungmi assured the NG-CARES team of his unwavering support and expressed his loyalty to Governor Mutfwang. Following the discussions, the team, accompanied by the council chairman, visited the project site to assess the progress. Hon. Kungmi pledged continued collaboration with NG-CARES for future expansions.

The inspection team then proceeded to evaluate the Kurkwar/Funyanyilang road, also spanning 3.5 kilometers. They were welcomed by the deputy chairman of Langtang North, HRH Ubandoman Langtang, and other community leaders. The leaders commended the NG-CARES initiative and Governor Mutfwang for the road project. Additionally, the team inspected a bridge at Danbur in Langtang North.

The final inspection of the day took place in Kanke Local Government Area, focusing on a 4-kilometer road project at Chorbe on Gugur Road. The NG-CARES team was received by the traditional council of Chorbe, who praised Governor Mutfwang for his continued commitment to infrastructural development in Plateau State.

Dr. Haggai Gutap, representing the Executive Governor of Plateau State, led the inspection team which included Mr. Gideon Dandam, coordinator of Fadama III (RA2), and Engr. Esther Agoh, head of Disbursement Linked Indicator (DLI) 2.2, focusing on infrastructure. Dr. Gutap highlighted Governor Mutfwang’s dedication to job creation, rural road development, and the provision of farm inputs. He expressed satisfaction with the ongoing projects and commended the engineers for their excellent work.

The inspection underscored the significant strides made under Governor Mutfwang’s administration in enhancing infrastructure and improving the quality of life for residents in rural areas of Plateau State.
